| The Model AISKA is a universal RS232 to RS485 converter in a bench top housing. The most common application is interfacing a standard PC serial port to a two-wire RS485-based field bus system such as a Profibus-DP or Modbus. In addition to the galvanically isolated serial conversion, the AISKA provides an 18 Volt DC power source that may be used to power I/O Pak C-Series, K-Series and DL-Series modules. Hard-wired AC power and serial interface cables are included. Model IOPK-AISKACBL is a convenient one-meter cable with pre-wired connectors that may be used to connect the AISKA to C118-U and C101series I/O modules. A convenient pre-wired companion cable is offered which simplifies the connection between the serial converter and I/O Pak modules. An internal bus termination resistor may be enabled or disabled via a front panel switch. | |
