I/O Pak K-Series

The I/O Pak K-Series of intelligent, distributed I/O modules is the ideal solution for industrial data acquisition and control applications that require accurate and/or fast measurement of process conditions. Single- and multi-channel modules may be installed as closely as possible to the point of measurement to ensure maximum signal integrity. I/O configuration files may be stored (on a PC), retrieved and downloaded greatly reducing the changeover time between tests. Linearized, scaled, and formatted data is transmitted to a host or network "master" using a variety of standard protocols over simple 2-wire RS-485 serial or 100baseT Ethernet networks over distances of up to 3 km. General specifications include:

19-bit resolution (24-bit A/D): A/D sampling to 40 kHz with measurement rates to 1 kHz per channel

Local Sensor Diagnostics and Alarms
System integrity and operator safety are important in any system. In the event of PC or communications link failure, e.bloxx offer at least one digital output which can be configured as an alarm.

The EGATE Concentrator
Communications protocols, by their very nature, add overhead to the transmission of data packets. Installed between the fieldbus master and up to 120 K-Series I/O modules, the EGATE Concentrator packs measurement values into only one block drastically reducing overhead and yielding over 100,000 data samples per second of total throughput over a 12Mbps Profibus-DP network. The EGATE also includes a 100baseT Ethernet port and an embedded web server.
